LAUREN WILSON

Lauren has been dancing since the age of 3.  She has studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.  She was a part of S.M.S.D. dance company for 3 years and performed at many local events and competitions.  During high school, she began taking classes at Dancers Workshop and became a Sun Dancer at Westwood High School.  She was a member of Westwood’s jazz company for all 3 years, Lieutenant her junior year, and Major her senior year.  After High School, she was a member and preformed with Austin Dance Works, Third Coast Jazz, and Contagious Dance Force at Dancers Workshop.  Throughout her years of training, she has attended many conventions such as Los Angeles Dance Force, LA Dancer Magic, Pulse, Urban Jam, Tremaine, NUVO and Texas Association of Teacher of Dancing.  She has also spent summers in Los Angeles continuing her training at the Edge Performing Arts Center.  In 2001 she began teaching ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop at Dancers Workshop.  She is a member of Texas Association Teachers of Dance Inc., has assisted Leslie Scott and Tymme Ritz at TATD, has also taught at TATD and other conventions such as Raising the Barre, Diversity and Vibe.  She is a current choreographer and Instructor for the Vision Competition Dance Team. She also has set choreography on drill teams, Great Hills Baptist Christmas Pageant, Austin Dance Works, and various other groups.  Lauren is a true lover of Dance and enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge with others.
