Compass Dance Team at Magellan International School

Magellan International School and Dancers Workshop are excited to launch the Compass Dance Team for the 2026–2027 school year!

Compass is Magellan’s school-based competitive dance team, directed and supported by Dancers Workshop. The program gives students the opportunity to experience the excitement of being part of a dance team while training, performing, and representing their school community.

About Compass Dance Team

Compass dancers rehearse together throughout the school year, learning choreography and preparing for performances, local events, and dance competitions.

Along the way, dancers work on technique, performance skills, musicality, and choreography… but Compass is about much more than what happens on stage. Being part of a team also means learning commitment, teamwork, confidence, responsibility, and how to work toward a shared goal.

Our goal is to create an experience that challenges dancers while remaining positive, encouraging, age-appropriate, and FUN!

A Partnership with Dancers Workshop

Founded in Austin in 1974, Dancers Workshop has more than 50 years of experience teaching and mentoring young dancers. Our programs emphasize strong dance education while helping kids develop confidence, creativity, friendships, and a genuine love of dance.

We are thrilled to partner with Magellan International School and bring that experience directly to the Compass community.
